Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 July 2026

By using ZipiQR (“we,” “us”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

What ZipiQR is

A free QR code generator and reader, plus a tool for sharing text or images as encrypted, self-destructing links. It’s provided free of charge and as-is.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ZipiQR to:

Ephemeral by design — no recovery

Shares expire within about ten minutes and are destroyed the moment they’re read. That is the entire point. We cannot recover, restore, or retrieve a share once it has been read or has expired — not for you, not for anyone. Don’t use ZipiQR to send anything you need to keep.

The link is the key

Anyone who has the full link — including the part after the # — can open a share once. Treat the link like a password: share it only through channels you trust. We are not responsible for links that are intercepted or shared insecurely.

No warranty

ZipiQR is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a share will be delivered, stored, or destroyed on any particular schedule.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of ZipiQR — including lost or unrecoverable data, or misuse of a share by someone who obtained its link.

Abuse and availability

We may rate-limit, suspend, or block usage we believe is abusive, unlawful, or a threat to the service, and we may change or discontinue the service at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
